Big changes announced at Newsworthy LLC; ‘More Content’ going on hiatus

Recently, I announced my new role as vice president, streaming and digital with the CBS News and Television Stations leadership team. This is a huge, amazing opportunity with a best-in-class team, and I am so, so grateful for getting to be a part of it.

Amid all this exciting career news, a few folks reached out to ask about my blog.

First off, it’s not a blog. It’s “More Content.”

Second, and you’ll want to take a seat for this next part, we have some big news to share.

After a riveting five posts – six if you include this one, which I am – I am putting “More Content” on hiatus. It’s been an absolute joy to have a writing outlet, but this amazing job with an amazing station group is taking precedence, and it’s time for “More Content” to get fewer posts and less content.

If you’ll humor me, let’s all take a brief moment to reflect on all the great “More Content” content we’ve enjoyed over the last year. We should also acknowledge that sadly, I was never able to pivot to video on here. Sigh.

RIP “More Content” (2022 – 2023).

Going forward, Newsworthy LLC will still exist, but I will no longer be taking on clients and projects. That means I will no longer be working with Winning Margins. I owe those guys a huge thanks, especially to Michael Ceraso for showing me the ropes and helping me get my consulting firm up and running. Linda and Tanner and all the gang have been fantastic coworkers, and I learned a ton. Thank you.

I also need a moment to thank my amazing wife, Mallory, for supporting me as I’ve now changed careers twice over the last year or so. What a hero.

So, that’s it for me, for now. “More Content” has been a wild ride, and not a blog, so thank you for following along. Keep in mind, I once waited eight years between Yelp reviews, so who knows, maybe we’ll turn this back on one day?

Until then, Godspeed and good luck in the coming business quarter.
